This iron bolt meas. approx. 2.25 inches in diameter. The surface is smooth and lightly discolored. There are two deep horizontal grooves cut into the iron and the base is slightly concave. The nose is crisp and well formed. With the bolt is an index card that reads as follows.

PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO EXIST

FOUND NEAR MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. IN 1996
ONLY 7 KNOWN AT PRESENT TIME…THESE ARE BEING IDENTIFIED AS WAIRD UNTIL FURTHER RESEARCH IS COMPLETED.”
There were originally only 7 of the shells known; research has now been completed and it has been determined that they are known as Rushton Bolts.
