This shell is in good condition. Most of the active rust has been removed so only surface rust remains. There does not appear to be any material loss and the pitting is light throughout. The fuse is a Confederate copy of the Union Bormann fuse which starts at the .5 seconds mark. Graduation lines and some numbers are still visible on the face of the fuse.
This shell was meant for use in the 12 pound Napoleon smoothbore.
