This tin box meas. approx. 4.25 inches long x 2.75 inches wide x 2.25 inches high. The box is soldered down one side and around the bottom. The lid is hinged along the back edge and embossed on the face with the Ordnance Department insignia of crossed cannons with a bursting bomb at center. Also embossed on the lid above the insignia is “100 FRICTION PRIMERS.” Flanking the Ordnance insignia are the lightly embossed words “FRANKFORD ARSENAL.”
The lid operates well as does the small latch that holds the lid closed. Box is empty.
Great piece for an artillery display.
