Very nice almost mint condition brown leather fuse pouch. The leather of the outer flap is soft and supple. Boldly stamped “US” just above stitching for the tab. This latch tab is stitched to the underside with a single line of stitching. This tab is complete but has a weak spot at finial hole. The interior flap is just as nice as the outer one. It is complete with both ears. The body of the box and the two belt loops on the back are also in fine shape. The bottom of the box has a brass finial with a nice light patina on its surface. All stitching is strong and tight. An excellent example of a Civil War artilleryman’s fuse pouch. [jet]
