U.S. ARTILLERY FUSE POUCH MARKED “CONN”

$550.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1000-503

Very nice condition leather fuse pouch. The leather of the outer flap is slightly stiff but in very good condition.  The corners show a slight curl from use. The latch tab is stitched and riveted to the underside of the flap.  This tab is complete with heavy crazing around the finial hole.  The interior flap is just as nice as the outer one. It is complete with both ears and is boldly stamped “CONN.” The body of the box and the two belt loops on the back are also in fine shape and also show light use. Stitching is complete and unbroken with the exception of the bottom seam on the right side. The bottom of the box has a brass finial with a nice light patina on its surface. Belt loops are stitched and riveted.  An excellent example of a Civil War artilleryman’s fuse pouch.  [jet]
