This tool was used by woodworkers / cabinetmakers. During the Civil War the tool was used by artillerymen to punch Bormann fuses. It measures 4 ¼” in length; half-moon shaped handle is made of brass. The shaft is made of steel. These tools have been excavated on many Civil War battlefields. [ws]
