CONFEDERATE ARTILLERY GIMLET

$75.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1117-45

The "gimlet" has a screw on the end and was intended to be used to remove broken pieces of friction primers from the vent. It could also serve as a priming wire to poke a hole in the powder bag. This is in good condition. This has that Southern hand-made appearance. The loop measures 1.5 inches in diameter and the overall length is 18.5 inches.  The pick end is twisted as you would find on a drill bit.  This implement has an attractive dark patina. [jet]
