Published by the Government Printing Office, Washington: 1865. 122pp., wraps, measuring 8.75” x 5.75”, bearing front cover stamp “New Jersey Historical Society”. Front cover bears ink signature “David A. Hayes,” and is chipped. Rear cover missing, else VG, with excellent text.
Accompanied by a printed fourteen page “Credit Mobilier” speech made by Rep. Bingham on the floor of the House of Representatives on February 26, 1873. Also by a paid Bingham family check for $10, dated 1894, drawn on the Fourth National Bank of Cadiz, Ohio, John A. Bingham’s home-town.
