Exhibits very slight rubbing at head & foot of both volumes. Very slight foxing of frontispiece, & yellowing of final page, vol. 1. Else Very fine condition.
General Phil Sheridan’s memoirs were one of a set of seven Civil War memoirs published by Mark Twain’s Webster publishing company during the 1880s & early nineties. These volumes make for fine display, and especially alongside similar “shoulder strap” editions of Grant & Sherman’s memoirs.
