Green hardcover volume meas. approx. 6.25 x 9.00 inches and runs 210 pages with index and three black and white illustrations. Full title is “THE OTHER SIDE OF WAR WITH THE ARMY OF THE POTOMAC: LETTERS FROM THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE UNITED STATES SANITARY COMMISSION DURING THE PENINSULA CAMPAIGN IN VIRGINIA IN 1862” by Katharine Prescott Wormeley. Volume published in 1889 by the Ticknor and Company, Boston.

Title and author are embossed in gold on the cover along with the seal of the United States Christian Commission at upper left. Spine has title in gold while back cover has MOLLUS medal in gold. Interior is clean and well bound. Front and back signatures are cracked and spine edges are rubbed.

Overall a good readable copy.   [AD]
