This book, by the CSA Andersonville surgeon is a southern polemic concerning prisoner of war treatment. Appendix includes an examination of the Wirz Trial, A Comparison of the Mortality in Northern and Southern Prisons; Remarks on the [prisoner] Exchange Bureau.
