Volume is minus the dust jacket but is otherwise in good condition. It meas. approx. 8.75 x 11.25 inches, runs 305 pages and was printed in 1948.
Covers are forest green with a gold eagle, globe and anchor and a red and gold 2nd Marine Division insignia on the front. Spine has the title in gold and the same two decorative insignia as the front cover. Front and back covers show very light wear at corners with some light discolorations along edges and a cup ring at lower left of front. These are all faint.
Front and end papers a full color map of the Pacific area showing the movements of the division. The interior is very clean and readable with several color maps scattered throughout the text.
The 2nd Marine Division saw action at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa. [ad]
