Hardcover volume bound in blue cloth. Title embossed in gold on the cover above the state seal. Title also embossed on the spine. All stampings are strong.
Volume meas. approx. 7.25 x 10.00 inches and runs 128 pages with several maps, illustrations and drawings.
Inside front cover is signed in ink “WITH KIND REGARDS, DAVID C. SMITH, FEBY 1, 1910.”
Inside back cover has clipped and taped in description of the book from an old catalog. David C. Smith was treasurer of the commission that raised the Indiana monument on the prison grounds.
Covers are wrapped in Mylar which has torn on front bottom but the covers are good. Only light surface wear visible. Interior is clean and tightly bound.
Book tells the story of the Indiana prisoners and lists by regiment the men buried in the national Cemetery there. [ad]
