British manual measures 3 ½” x 4 ¾” and is 353 pages.  Red leather binding with gold leaf stamping on front cover.  Brass closure tab.  Spine is partially loose on inside of binding.

Title page reads, “APPENDIX TO THE FIELD EXERCISE.  / RIFLE AND CARBINE EXERCISES, AND MUSKETRY INSTRUCTION. / HORSE GUARDS, JULY, 1879.”  In addition, written in ink, is “A. COMPANY / 6^TH WEST SUFFOLK  R. V.  CORPS. / STOWMARKET.”

Complete manual with text, illustrations, and tip-out sheets.  Notations and updates are written in ink here and there throughout the book.
