Winston/ Louisa C(ourt) Ho (use)/ Virginia …Miss Georgia Winston/ Louisa C(ourt) Ho (use)/ Va”.  Yellow wraps, 5.75 x 9”, with black cover & spine lettering. Exhibits light exterior soiling & wear at the extremities, & light interior foxing. Else VG, with tight spine & page signatures. This “paperback” volume was the first of two volumes that would be published under the title The Southern History of the War in 1866. Solid collectible. First eps inscriptions of three Winston girls invites further research.      [jp]
