This three volume set consists of two volumes that list alphabetically, all the men from Maryland who served in World War One while the third volume holds five large fold out maps. The set was published in 1933 by the Maryland War Records Commission in Baltimore.

All the volumes have black cloth covers that are wrapped in Mylar which have kept them clean and in excellent condition. All three volumes meas. approx. 7.25 x 10.00 inches. Volume one has 256 pages of front matter and 1056 pages of the roster that covers soldiers and sailors whose last names begin with letters A-J. Volume two runs another 1298 pages and covers last names that start with the letters J-Z. Each entry gives the soldier or sailors name, home address, birthdate, when enlisted or drafted, unit and overseas dates as well as if the man was killed or wounded.

As stated above volume three contains five large folded maps. They are as follows:

Map 1-The Western Front which shows the trench lines in 1918.

Map 2-The Muse-Argonne Offensive with the area held by the different American Divisions color coded.

Map 3-The area of the 29th Division attack in the Muse-Argonne.

Map 4-The area of the 79th Division operations from September to November 1918.

Map 5-The 79th Division operations in the second half of the Muse-Argonne Offensive from October to November 1918

All maps are in excellent condition. Map 1 has some discoloration on the reverse.  Interior of all volumes are clean with light edge discoloration from age.
