Full title is “HISTORICAL SKETCH OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA PREPARED FOR THE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION HELD AT CHAMBERSBURG, PA., JULY 4, 1876.” The history was written by I. H. McCauley and published at Harrisburg in 1878.

In addition to the history of the county the volume also lists men who served in the French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and officer’s from the county in the Civil War as well as all county commissioners and doctors.

Front and back covers show some discoloration from water damage but otherwise the volume is in very good condition.

Title is faintly stamped in gold on the spine.  [ad]
