This volume contains two parts. The first is Harriet Beecher Stowe’s famous story “UNCLE TOM’S CABIN OR LIFE AMONG THE LOWLY.” The second half of the book is titled “KEY TO UNCLE TOM’S CABIN” and is “Presenting the original facts and documents upon which the story (Uncle Tom’s Cabin) is founded…’
Hardback volume is bound in brown cloth with the title in gold on the spine. Covers show light edge wear and some water spots. Front cover is staring to loosen in areas. Interior is tightly bound and page shave browned some. “UNCLE TOM’S CABIN” runs approx. 166 pages and “KEY TO UNCLE TOM’S CABIN” runs 262 pages.
Inside front cover is inscribed “MISS ANNA A. TRAVIS 1859.” Several other owner’s names appear faintly in pencil on first page. [ad]
