This volume was published in December 1965 and is numbered “279” of the first edition.

Volume is bound in gray cloth with the title in red on the front and spine. Dustjacket shows artwork of the submerged CSS HUNLEY moving towards a ship in the gathering dusk. Dustjacket has light surface dirt and is otherwise very nice.

Interior is clean and runs 109 pages with index. There are also several color plates as well as black & white photographs.

Written by Ruth H. Duncan the book covers the entire life of Horace L. Hunley and his famous submarine.    [ad]
