Classic Civil War era, pint size free blown, deep olive color ale or porter bottle. This example is of an imported type related to the continental Germanic glasshouses of this period. These types are occasionally encountered on American campsites (U.S. and Confederate). This bottle stands 7 ¾” tall and measures 2 ½” across the base. The body exhibits medium to heavy abrasions due to ground and weather contact over the years. No other damages noted.
