Bottle is salt glazed stoneware. Stamped, “G.S. TWITCHELL SUCCESSOR TO C. WHITTEMORE”. George S. Twitchell was an early and well to do mead and mineral water manufacturer in Philadelphia.
Measures 9 ¾” tall by 3 ½” at the base. Very good condition with slight chipping on the surface at the mouth and base. [sl]
