This tear-drop shaped glass artifact is a vintage and pleasing, blown glass wine or spirit decanter. Piece measures 8" high and has a 3¾" wide clear base. Decanter sports a 2¼" diameter x ¼" thick pour flange but is missing its glass stopper. The delicate specimen, blown with thin, smooth glass, exhibits two applied, sculptured glass re-enforcing collars at the upper neck. Glass body is free of any cracks, chips or repairs and scratches. One small air bubble is visible, as are some very thin and clear molten sag lines on the body. No markings. Decanter has a slightly polished out pontil, as do most of the quality decanters. A fine glass piece.
