Overall this pike meas. just under 8 feet long. The blade is 12 inches long, is double edged and has a central ridge. At the base of the blade is an elliptical guard with rounded points on either end.
The blade sits atop an iron endcap. Descending from the endcap on either side of the pike are 17 inch long iron supports that are screwed in place.
At bottom of the pike is a 1 inch wide beveled area to accept a finial that is now missing.
The wood shaft is in excellent condition and shows light surface wear and dirt from age and storage. Shaft is a little thicker than normally seen. All iron surfaces have the appearance of having been cleaned with a grinding wheel brush. Blade has surface pitting and light surface rust on one side. [AD]
