Dated February 23, 1861.  Number 1[?]991. The central vignette on this $5 features two men with hogsheads of tobacco. The bank was authorized by the General Assembly on April 7, 1858. It failed circa 1863. A portrait of Washington appears in the bottom left corner. Excellent condition.   [ld]
