Mid war bond issued from the Confederate Capital at Richmond, Virginia. The bond is dated March 10, 1863 and is numbered 2610. The center design is an image of Judah Benjamin, Confederate Secretary of State. Lithograph was done by is B. Duncan of Columbia, South Carolina. At the bottom are 21 coupons remaining out of the original 24. The first was redeemable July 1, 1866 and the last on January 1, 1875. Bond is in very good condition with a few faint creases. Yellowing has occurred from age. All ink inscriptions are readable. [sl]
