An original Civil War paper money artifact referred to as a $20.00 Confederate Treasury Note. Criswell-listed as a ‘Type 58" showing the state capital at Nashville. Double-side printed paper bill is canceled with two ½" diameter hole cuts. Stamped ‘AUGUST, 1863’ in red ink on face. The paper condition is good with very light surface grime. Bill dated April 1863 and numbered 38716. Printing on the face is in black ink with the reverse in blue ink. Few smudges on back.
