Nice handwritten pass for 1st Lt. P.A. Bishop of the 58th Ohio to go to Memphis and signed by Geo. O. Lakalski, Aid and 1st Lt of 2d Cavalry.  Lakalski was on the staff Gen. F. Steele, Comdg.

Peter A. Bishop enlisted on 10/1/61 at the age of 43, as a Quarter Master Sgt.  On 10/2/61 he mustered into Field & Staff of the 58th Ohio.  No further information is available, and the date and method of his discharge is not given.

In ink on 8” x 10” lined paper; minor edge wear along left side.  A few small ink stains at lower right.  Two fold lines, with some yellowing on reverse side.  Overall in very fine condition.
