Title reads “FUNERAL MARCH, IN MEMORY OF JAMES A. GARFIELD BY THEO. H. KLEIN.” Very bottom shows the music was published by W. A. Evans & Bro. of Boston.

Top right corner and lower left suffer from chipping with some paper loss.

Frame is metal and is modern.

Despite the paper loss along the edge the solemnity of the piece speaks for itself.
