A limited edition cold cast bronze sculpture titled "JOSHUA L.CHAMBERLAIN" by Ron Tunison, ca. 1994. Joshua Chamberlain is depicted at the decisive moment of drawing his sword just before leading his men in their charge at the Battle of Gettysburg. Chamberlain is looking to his left as though checking on the progress of his troops behind him. His right hand is on the hilt of the sword, while his left hand is holding the scabbard. The piece is numbered 37 of 350. It is on a hardwood base with a gold title plate. It stands approximately 15 1/2 inches tall and the base measures 9 3/4 inches long and 8 inches wide.
Tunison is known for the highly detailed bronzes he creates with four monuments on the Gettysburg, PA battlefield, one on the Antietam, MD battlefield and one at the entrance to the Museum of the Civil War Soldier, near Petersburg, VA to his credit.
NOTE: We do not have the original packing box for this statue, so we do not feel comfortable with shipping it without risking it being damaged. We would be able to transport it to any of the Civil War shows we take part it, or it can be picked up here in the shop.
