This is an original copy of the much reproduced Vicksburg newspaper called “THE DAILY CITIZEN.” The single page newspaper is printed on a piece of wallpaper that has a large brocade pattern in faded red-purple over a scroll design in faded rose on a cream background. The face is printed in black ink on white. All printing is legible. The face has considerable surface dirt especially around the edges. The reverse is the same. There is one central vertical fold line and seven horizontal fold lines. The paper has split into two pieces along the central horizontal fold line but the rest of the paper is in good shape. Item meas. approx. 11.50 inches wide x 19.00 inches long.
