Front cover story features two illustrations of prison transports: “The Rebel Flag of Truce Boat “Beauregard” With Savannah in the Distance”, “The Rebel Flag of Truce Boats Coming Down the Savannah River to Meet the Federal; Transports.” Interior contains naval illustrations: “Our Blockading Fleet off Wilmington, North Carolina—New Inlet” [& “Old Inlet”], “Capture of Blockade Runner “Annie”, October 31, 1864.” As well as a striking double page centerfold by famed cartoon Thomas Nast: “Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1864…United We Stand.” And a full page depiction of artist Winslow Homer’s famed illustration; “Thanksgiving in the Army: After Dinner, The Wishbone.”

Exhibits mounting dots along left margin, fold-marks & one small, slight soiled spot on lower margin. Else VG plus, smooth and attractive Solid piece solid collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing.
