Also stories of Grants campaign in Mississippi and Union activities in Louisiana. Interior includes several striking illustrations: most impressive are “Colonel’s Kilpatrick’s Late Cavalry Raid Though Virginia”, and a panoramic centerfold, “A Cavalry Attack”, drawn by famed New York Cartoonist Thomas Nast. Plus a montage of sketches from Port Hudson, and a portrait sketch of “The Late Stonewall Jackson”.
Exhibits evidence of having been in a bound volume at some point; moderate soiling/staining. Else good with smooth cover. Solid collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card margin. [jp/ld]
