Tuesday, September 21, 1819. Two page, Five column newspaper, measuring 19 x 12.5”. Exhibits one slight center tear, and is slightly yellowed. Else VG, in protective sleeve. Contains numerous commercial notices, and reward notices for “ranaway” slaves, including the following: “Ranaway from the subscriber….a mulatto boy named JERRY. He is about 17 years old, has red wood, a long face, big eyes, thick lips and crocked legs He had on when he went away blue pantaloons, a pair of shoes, new hat, blue and black loose coat, and check shirt; he took with him a gold and silver watch, the gold watching marked R. D. with a small gold chain, two gold keys, one with cornelian stone in it.” Solid New Orleans collectible. [jp]
