Interior illustrations include full page of U.S. Grant’s first battle, The Battle of Belmont, MO, featuring the “Charge of Colonel Dougherty, Twenty-Second Illinois Regiment, Upon Rebel Batteries.” Also centerfold views of “The Harbor of Pensacola—Santa Rosa and Fort Pickets” and the “Great Review at Bailey’s Crossroads, VA, November 20, 1861.” Plus a story and full page depiction of “ The Steamship “Constitution” Leaving Boston With Troops On General Butler’s Southern Expedition” [To Louisiana].

Exhibits mounting dots along left margin w/small torn spot near top, and very slight soiling of cover. Else VG w/smooth cover. Superb issue w/many magnificent illustrations. In protective sleeve w/white card backing.  [JP]
