Interior illustrations include four sketched scenes of the “The War in North Carolina,” principally in the vicinity of New Berne. Also a rear cover scene from “The War In South Carolina: “Payday” Among the Negro “Contrabands” Employed in Gathering Cotton On the Sea Islands, Port Royal. Plus detailed diagram of “A Rebel Torpedo.”
