Donelson—[1] “General View of Fort Donelson” [a panoramic view of the fort, from the river perspective], and “The Attack of the Second Iowa Regiment On the Rebel Batteries at Fort Donelson.” Interior illustrations include more sketches from Ft. Donelson—a full page split level illustrations, to wit: [1] The “Position of Taylor’s and McAllister’s Batteries During the Battle at Fort Donelson, and [2] “Gun Boat Attack on the Water Batteries At Fort Donelson”. Also a panoramic river view of Bowling Green, KY—“College Hill, and Fortifications in the Distance…Pike Bridge destroyed By the Rebels.”

Exhibits mounting dots along the left margin. Else VG, w/smooth cover. Highly collectible. This issue along with the earlier March 15th issue were the two Harper’s Weekly Fort Donelson issues. In protective sleeve, w/white card cover.    [jp/lcd]
