Front cover features full page depiction of the “Floral Department at the Great Fair.” [The 1864 Metropolitan Fair was a fund-raising event for hospital and medical supplies and relief for wounded Union soldiers. This issue includes sketches of numerous fair exhibits including a panoramic view of the “Grand Hall of the Fair Building on Fourteenth Street.”

Exhibits mounting dots and chipping along left cover margin. Else VG plus, w/smooth flat cover. Solid collectible, exhibiting lots of Civil War era New York fashion. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing.  [JP]
