Interior illustrations include a dramatic center-page double spread of river vistas from “The Campaign in the Southwest”—Canal from Duck Point to New Carthage—Our Masked Batteries Shelling Vicksburg—Crossing the Bayou—Bayou Navigation—Guerrillas Attacking Gunboat.” Also full page depictions of the “Battle of Irish Bend” [Louisiana] & “The Camp of the 12th Massachusetts Regiment Near Falmouth, Virginia.

Exhibits slight yellowing. Front page detached w/light wear at the extremities. An excellent issue and fine collectible nonetheless, jammed with solid illustrations. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing.  [JP]
