Lined paper has printed columns meant for officers to fill in data. This report was written for October, 1862 by George B. Cadwallader, 1st Lieutenant in the 46th PA Infantry. It is titled, “MONTHLY RETURN OF CLOTHING, CAMP AND GARRISON EQUIPAGE, RECEIVED, ISSUED IN THE FIELD THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 1862”. When folded, on the reverse Cadwallader again inscribed the title of the report and signed his name.
Measures 21 ½” x 16 ¾”. Paper has yellowed with age and has creases from being folded. Very clean and readable. Soldier history of Cadwallader and unit history of the 46th PA is included. [sl]
