Used with the Brunswick muzzle loading rifle from 1836-1885. Sword bayonet with double edge blade, short fuller. Semi-gray patina with dark age spots. Several minor nicks near point. Obverse side of blade blank, reverse side marked near ricasso, “British Crown/UR/Enfield 1839.” Blade measures 21 ½ inches long by 1 3/8 inch wide at ricasso.
British hilt and crossguard. Handle is of cast rib design. Pommel cap marked “2C/21.” Sans leather washer, otherwise complete. [ws]
