18TH Century triangular iron socket bayonet. Bayonet measures 16.50” overall, socket measures 2 5/8” and blade measures 14”. Stamped on flat of blade are inspector’s initials “L.E.”. On socket large letters “US”. Bayonet blade measures 1 1/8” at the widest point. Narrows to a sharp point approximately 1/8”. Semi-bright patina. [ws]
