EXCELLENT CONDITIONED WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN DRESS BAYONET

The overall length of the bayonet is approx. 15.50 inches.

The blade itself meas. approx. 9.75 inches. The blade is of nickel/silver plated, drop forged, steel construction. Each side of the blade has a 6.75-inch fuller. Blade surface has some minor rub marks and the true edge has two tiny nicks. Blade ricasso is marked with the squirrel and sword mark of the maker “EIKHORNE, SOLINGEN. Top spine of the blade is marked with “OTTO BROMER JR. WOLFENBUTTEL.” Overall, the blade finish is stunning.

The bayonet has a nickel/silver plated alloy cross guard with one up-swept arm and a stylized eagle head pommel with functional locking stud. Cross guard has two very small nicks in the plating. The grips are diamond grooved and made of molded black Bakelite and are secured by two, small, dome headed steel rivets.

Black scabbard is excellent with one side showing some minor light stippling. Scabbard is free of dents and chips.  [ad]
