Item Code: E2277

Bayonet is discolored and covered in moderate surface rust. Locking ring still moves but somewhat stiff. “US” marking is not visible. Some pitting to surfaces especially on the socket. Leather scabbard is the early type with no rivets only stitching on the frog. Leather loop for attaching to waist belt is broken. Brass scabbard tip is gone. Leather is supple and scabbard seam is tight. Leather surfaces are severely worn. This item was procured from a Rockland, Maine estate.
