Bayonet meas. approx. 27.25 inches overall. The blade meas. approx. 22.25 inches long and is 1.25 inches wide at the ricasso. The surfaces of the blade are bright with very light mottling scattered throughout it’s length. A little heavier near the point. There is also some very light scattered pitting. The edge has numerous small nicks and the point has a tiny bend to it. There is an unstopped fuller that starts 6.00 inches from the point and ends 1.50 inches from the counterguard. Grip and counterguard are made out of heavy cast brass. The counterguard has a quillon at one end and a barrel ring on the other. The grip is ribbed and is cut with a channel on top. The side has “bar-bell” shaped locking mechanism that still works. The grip and counterguard have a light patina and some light wear.
