Dagger has nickel-plated hilt fittings that show moderate surface wear to the upper and lower cross guards. The grip is made of cherry-colored wood that is in good condition with three tiny closed cracks, two on the bottom of the obverse and one on the reverse. There is also some light discolorations. The aluminum grip eagle and SA insignia are properly inset.
Polished blade is bright showing runner marks on both sides. Deeply-etched motto retains 100% of its light gray color. The reverse of the blade bears the trademark RZM M7/36.
Dent-free scabbard retains 80% of its original chocolate brown enamel. There is some moderate wear from scratches and chips. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings also show surface wear but no dents or depressions and there is no damage to the lower ball. [ad]
