This stunning knife handle is made of German silver with a shell design. Blade is double edged with a raised central ridge and measures 5 inches long. The blade surface has moderate oxidation and light scattered pitting. Edges have a few very tiny nicks. Silver guard is loose, and blade is slightly loose in handle.
Leather sheath has German silver throat. Leather shows light crazing, with tip showing heavy wear and splitting. Sheath has a decorative gold gilt border with a star and, “US” in the center. Much of the gilt has faded with age and use.
Total length of knife measures 9 ¼”. [sl]
