The overall length of this knife is approx. 12.50 inches in length. Knife looks to have been made using a pike blade.
The double-edged blade meas. approx. 8 3/8 of an inch long. The blade is diamond shaped in cross section and tappers to a point. One edge shows several moderate nicks. Its surface has a nice dark patina. One side of the blade near the hilt has “GETTYSBURG” in white ink.
Cross guard is of crude brass construction. Grip is octagonal and is made of dark wood with a brass ferrule at bottom and a worn brass pommel.
There is a crack running from the guard, through the ferrule and up through the grip to the pommel cap on one side.
