$200.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 193-53

Black leather scabbard done in the same pattern as that used for the 1855 bayonet except the body is formed to accept the four edged blade of the Austrian Lorenz bayonet.

The leather body is in very nice condition with a good tight seam running up the back with only light surface crazing and small amounts of surface finish loss. Tip has the same brass finial as the Pattern 1855 bayonet scabbard.

Arched leather frog is in good condition with moderate surface finish loss overall. The frog is attached to the scabbard by stitching and two brass rivets.

This scabbard was produced here in the United States and supplied to the many units issued Austrian Lorenz rifles.

Item is scabbard only. There is no bayonet.

This pattern scabbard is not easy to find.
