Maker mark: “Made by / Ames Mfg. Co. / Chicopee / Mass.” State mark: “N.J.”. Scabbard tip inspector initials: “D.F.M.” Medium-bright straight blade measuring 32.5” in length, .875” in width at base. Blade displays slight water staining. Washer missing. Brass, ribbed grip hilt assembly tight and symmetrical, exhibiting medium coppery patina with light scratching. Plum colored steel scabbard, displaying light scratching and light dings along brass tip and throat. Else VG & solid. Fine piece for New Jersey collectors.
