U.S. CALIBER .30 M1A1 CARBINE

$1,500.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 740-371

The M1A1 carbine was designed with a folding stock for airborne troops. These carbines were only manufactured by Inland. This is a one that has been reworked, probably by a foreign country. The receiver is not marked because it has all markings removed and added a serial number. Also the markings were removed on the barrel but you can faintly see the General Motors. Rework has added an adjustable sight, bayonet lug and rotating safety. Trigger housing is inland but no Inland parts inside. Bolt is round.

Metal folding stock is original and has the original leather but it is brittle. Wooden pistol grip is marked with a P inside a circle. Stock is marked with an O. Hanguard is an early 2 rivet type and marked M-? (Underwood). Sling is original dated 1944.

An original paratrooper model is almost impossible to find. Most places sell the stock alone for what this entire carbine is selling for.
